Product Owner - Manufacturing Harness

We are seeking a Product Owner for Manufacturing Harness to join our national security space company developing advanced small satellites for high-priority government missions. This senior individual contributor role offers high visibility across programs and customers, requiring U.S. citizenship and security clearance eligibility.

The successful candidate will own schedule, cost, and technical performance across assigned hardware deliverables, ensuring subsystem components are built, tested, and delivered with quality and on schedule. This position is ideal for professionals who enjoy a blend of technical oversight, manufacturing coordination, program execution, and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities include coordinating subsystem deliverables across engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and test functions. You will manage project scope, schedules, cost estimates, risk assessment, and Earned Value inputs while ensuring all technical work aligns with program requirements. The role involves supporting roadmap planning, developing historical cost and schedule data for future baselines, tracking discrepancies, and driving issue resolution.

You will work closely with engineering, production, ATLO, and program management teams to drive execution across multiple hardware flowlines while improving manufacturability and supporting long-term product strategy. Additional duties include coordinating with Program Management Offices to prioritize hardware deliverables, providing variance analysis and corrective action planning, and working with Production Scheduling to align shared build areas with program timelines.

The position requires strong organizational skills, technical understanding, communication abilities, and cross-functional leadership capabilities. You will develop product roadmaps aligned with business plans, identify technical changes to improve manufacturability, and represent assigned control accounts as a technical authority and performance owner. Risk and issue management, including early identification and proactive resolution, are critical aspects of this role.
