Chief Production Officer - Space Systems Manufacturing

We are seeking an experienced Chief Production Officer to join our dynamic space technology company in Toulouse. This executive-level position offers the opportunity to shape the future of space systems production and drive operational excellence in a rapidly growing industry.

As Chief Production Officer, you will partner directly with the CEO to define and execute comprehensive production and operational strategies. You will lead end-to-end production activities, including manufacturing, assembly, integration, and testing of advanced space systems. The role requires driving operational excellence while ensuring efficiency, scalability, and strict adherence to quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities include overseeing large, multidisciplinary teams and acting as a key decision-maker in executive leadership. You will establish and optimize production processes to support rapid scaling of space missions and services, while ensuring compliance with European and international aerospace regulations. The position involves managing budgets, timelines, and resource allocation for complex production programs.

The ideal candidate brings minimum 20 years of experience in the space or aerospace industry, with extensive leadership experience in production, manufacturing, or operations at senior level. You must have a proven history of managing large teams in complex organizational structures, preferably within high-growth or innovation-driven environments.

We seek candidates with strong strategic thinking and decision-making capabilities, deep understanding of space systems production and industrial scaling, and exceptional leadership skills. The ability to operate effectively at executive level alongside CEO and board stakeholders is essential. Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities are required, along with a results-driven mindset focused on operational excellence.

Fluency in English is required, with French being a strong advantage. The position is based in Toulouse, with relocation support available for the right candidate.
