Payroll Specialist - South America & North America Operations

We are supporting a growing organization seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join their global payroll operations team. This role focuses on accurate, compliant payroll processing across South America, with additional exposure to North American payroll environments. The ideal candidate will have strong end-to-end payroll experience, excellent attention to detail, and a solid understanding of payroll compliance frameworks across multiple jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities include end-to-end payroll processing across South American countries, supporting payroll operations using platforms such as ADP or similar systems, and ensuring accurate calculation of salaries, benefits, deductions, taxes, and statutory contributions. You will maintain compliance with local labour laws, tax regulations, and reporting requirements while supporting payroll reconciliation and month-end close processes. The role involves responding to employee payroll queries professionally, liaising with HR, Finance, and external payroll providers, and assisting with payroll audits to ensure data accuracy across systems.

Required qualifications include proven experience in payroll operations with South America exposure, experience with Workday, ADP, PEO or similar payroll platforms, and knowledge of Rippling. A strong understanding of payroll compliance and statutory requirements is essential, while exposure to U.S. and/or Canada payroll processes is highly desirable. Customer-facing or managed services experience is preferred, along with strong numerical accuracy, attention to detail, and comfort working in fast-paced, cross-functional environments. The ability to work with EST time zone overlap is required.

Desirable additional qualifications include experience working across multiple countries or regions, background in shared services or outsourced payroll environments, experience supporting HRIS or payroll system transitions, and strong Excel skills for reconciliation and reporting.
