Within ETB’s technical expertise department GXS, the EPS team is responsible for expertise matters concerning high-voltage, primary systems equipment (switchgear, transformers, insulated cables & overhead lines) supplied and installed in the Belgian grid. The equipment experts translate ETB’s needs into technical specifications and subsequently collaborate with the procurement department to qualify manufacturers and evaluate their proposals. After awarding, they proceed with contract implementation by onboarding the new suppliers and designs, managing any technical non-conformities and interfacing with project and maintenance departments. Upon energization, responsibility is transferred to the asset management department. Within EPS, the Quality of Supply team covers the full scope of supply. I.e. the equipment itself, (during manufacturing and site installation), their related technical documentation and the associated (digital) data. The Quality Assurance & Support service has two main roles: - Developing, aligning and implementing a Quality Management framework, with its relevant processes, tools and guidelines based upon internal analyses and a general ISO9001 approach - Providing operational support by assisting with supplier qualifications and supplier quality follow?up, internal reporting, publication of technical documentation and providing data in engineering tools and databases The position operates within the engineering organization. It interfaces internally with engineering experts, procurement, quality, and IT, and externally with equipment suppliers and inspectors. Main Tasks & Responsibilities - Analysing and mapping the requirements for a simple and effective Quality Management framework. - Aligning and interfacing the framework with other stakeholders, also at Elia Group level where relevant (i.e. with 50Hertz). - Proposing and validating the framework with a clear timeline and milestones. - Implementing the framework with a strong focus on communication and reporting on the proceedings Supplier Quality & Qualification - Prepare and support supplier audits, including review of supplier quality systems (e.g. ISO 9001). - Develop, maintain and implement quality control plans for the installation of HV equipment on site by suppliers - Develop and maintain a quality dashboard of suppliers’ factory and site activities based on qualitative feedback and quantitative data (KPIs) - Support the follow?up of external inspectors and inspection activities. (Mainly Factory & Site Acceptance Tests of transformers, cable systems, ...) - Support follow-up of non?conformities and related action plans based on Return of EXperience (REX) from production, testing & installation. Documentation, databases and IT Tools - Support the setup and use of document exchange platforms with suppliers during framework agreements. (SharePoint, ...) - Ensure correct organizing, publishing and archiving of (mainly technical) documents and data in their relevant tools and structures: document management tools (eDoc, HyperTree, SharePoint, ...), asset database (InfraRef), technical information wiki (LegoNet tool) - Support with mapping , creation and archiving of internal processes at team and department level. (flowcharts, swimlane diagrams, PACI tables, …) - Build and maintain working knowledge of ISO 9001 and its application within Elia. - Build and maintain working knowledge of process mapping (e.g. SIPOC, BPMN) based on business analyses. - Open and curious mindset with an eagerness to learn - Affinity with quality- and process-related topics - Ability to work independently and proactively - Willing and able to visit ETB installations within Belgium - Willing and able to travel to suppliers, mainly within Europe - Structured way of working and attention to technical detail - Ability to work with procedures, templates, and IT tools Background, knowledge, experience - Technical or engineering education and/or equivalent experience - Quality management systems and supplier follow?up - Mapping and creating of business processes - Clear communication with internal and external stakeholders - Good command of English (written and spoken) is required for technical documentation, supplier communication, and internal coordination. - Knowledge of Dutch and/or French is a strongly preferred for daily collaboration within Elia and with local stakeholders. 01.08.2026 – 15 Months, extension possible Approx. 100% (5 days/w) Remote, Belgium If you have any questions, feel free to contact us by email at projects@joyit.de, including the project ID.
