For our customer we are looking for a Digital Twin Engineer (f/m/d) to support their Digital Transformation Office in a project.

As part of the Factory of the Future Initiative, the Digital Twin for Production is a key strategic enabler. The Manufacturing Digital Twin Engineer develops Digital Production Twins for multiple plants based on requirements from plant experts, enabling them to run Discrete Event Simulations (DES). The first Digital Twin is currently being built, with further rollouts planned. In this role, the engineer creates Digital Twins (FlexSim Simulation Models) from 3D scans, point clouds, or existing 3D data of assembly lines. Using Autodesk’s Product Design and Manufacturing Collection (PDMC) and Autodesk FlexSim, they build end-to-end production and logistics simulation models and provide data-driven recommendations to improve throughput, resilience, and investment decisions.

- Build simulation models for different use cases in FlexSim - Coordination with external Scan-to-BIM Partner to create point cloud of assembly lines - Derive 3D Models of Point Cloud - Create 3D Assets and create asset library - Enable local Digital Twin Engineers to maintain simulation models and run simulations - Close alignment with Global Digital Twin Lead and ensure cross-plant consistency

- Establish a global PDM-Solution for machines and equipment 2D and 3D data (Autodesk Vault) - Set up and maintain Autodesk Construction Cloud and support further rollouts to other plants - Define modeling standards, naming conventions and data definitions - Establish governance for data structures, versioning and lifecycle management - Develop reusable models, templates and scenario libraries - Document best practices and support knowledge transfer - Lead centralization of global Autodesk Licenses - Define Architecture and interaction between Digital Twin Simulation Tools and existing solutions like Digital Manufacturing Platform, MES, SAP

- Proven experience in manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, simulation engineering, or related roles in a manufacturing environment - Extensive experience with Autodesk Products, especially Product Design and Manufacturing Collection (PDMC), Autodesk Construction Cloud and FlexSim - Autodesk FlexSim and building reusable simulation models - Manufacturing systems understanding (flows, constraints, variability, bottlenecks) - Ability to build credible models from ambiguous inputs and validate them with stakeholders - Strong analytical and communication skills - ability to explain assumptions, results, and recommendations to non-simulation audiences
